On the 80th anniversary of the United Nations, what should have been a moment of reflection and renewal has instead exposed deep fractures in its purpose and credibility. According to an Associated Press report, the UN now finds itself divided, underfunded, and adrift in a world increasingly shaped by war, political dysfunction, and rising authoritarianism. The world body that once symbolized hope and peacekeeping now stands at a crossroads,less a forum for unity and more a stage for posturing and political theater.

The United Nations lost its way years ago. It has morphed from a guardian of global order into political theater serving the interests of developing nations and authoritarian regimes. Its failures reflect a systemic collapse in integrity and mission.
